The Traveller

In a few weeks I am leaving on a jet plane with my family for a four-week holiday in the old U.S. of A. Like any holiday, there is the dilemma of what to pack and what to leave behind. I have travelled extensively and lived in four countries so you would think that I would have it down to an art form, and in a sense I do when it comes to packing clothes but what can bring me down (and weigh me down) is what I call my ”essential tool kit” which includes items of a personal nature that every most women can’t function without. My tool kit may include items like anti-ageing moistursing lotions, sun protection cream, toner, cleanser, hair care products, medication, perfume – you know exactly what I am talking about.
I was in at Howard Storage recently – I love Howard and his storage – I came across the range of The Borne Naked travel packs and in particular The Borne Naked Traveller which is perfect for storing your necessities (tool kit) from home when on holiday or on business. The pack includes:-
- Borne Naked handbag liner – small
- 1 x 50ml lotion pump for your favourite hand cream
- 1 x 50ml atomiser spray
- 2 x 50ml screw top bottles, great for shampoo and conditioner
- 2 x 15ml jars, perfect for your favourite face creams
Winner. Sort of. By having a little pack like this it will force me to only take what I absolutely need rather than what I absolutely want – there is a difference apparently. Also, I can see how this clever little bag is going to come in very handy when not being used to carry the mini bottles, because it is made from clear plastic, I can put all my important things that I have in my handbag – that at short notice I can never seem to find - eg: everything!
Not quite, but here is an example of what I would keep in it during the day when we are walking around sight-seeing;
- hotel key
- passport (if I think I may need it otherwise I lock in the hotel safe)
- lipstick
- brush
- Panadol
- mobile phone/iPod
- hand sanitizer
- mini sunblock
The Borne Naked Traveller is perfect for storing all of your own personal necessities,
so you’ll have some home comforts to ensure you look and feel even more fabulous on your next holiday.

Jo, I love Howard’s Storage too!! I have a little kit like this and it’s fantastic, I always take it with me when we go away, even for a weekend trip as it cuts down on the weight in my bag. I’m looking forward to your tips on packing because I always take too much, although I am making a big effort to pack less shoes these days.
Tracey, every time I go into Howard Storage I come out with more than I intended to buy. Love it. Thanks for sharing. Jo
Oh have a fun trip!
Haven’t seen this little kit before but I really like it – I’m the same I always take so many cosmetics and bathroom stuff it’s what lets me down. I always overpack clothes too though, I’m just an over packer!

Hi Mica. Thanks for dropping by. Overpacking can spoil a holiday if you have to lug your bag all over the place. This week I will be doing a series of posts of how to pack for short and long holidays – so stay tuned for “Get Packing”. Drop by again soon and say hi. Jo
